Only FDA approved materials are used in our manufacturing process. Replacing simple helical elements welded to shafts, SPR milling techniques allows you to have uni-body construction from a single cylinder. This minimizes corrosion and allows you to have complex screw shapes like variable leads, multi-flighted sections and unique mixing elements. By our milling method you can also have large radii between the flight and the screw root for minimal material hang-up during processing.

Plastic Screws
That's right! Screws manufactured from solid Plastic billets. UHMWPE, Delrin, Nylon, PET and other corrosion resistant materials can be used to convey your products. We recently substituted heavy steel screws with light weight PET screws for improved service life. We reduced screw replacement from once every 6 months to once every 6 years!
Timing Screws
Plastic screws are not only used for conveying food stuffs but can also be used to move the containers for filling, sealing, and labeling operations. SPR's CNC equipment ensures that screws are cut identically and that pairs of screws (left and right hand) match perfectly.
In addition to our milling operation, we can handle timing screws made from one piece up to 16 inches in diameter and 30 feet long! No more lining up short screws - make them from single piece construction with SPR
